I got paralyzed in the line of duty while serving in the Marine Corps. I enjoy playing Boccia and started competing in Boccia in 2014. I soon found out I had natural ability for the sport in the BC3 division. In 2016, I was put on the USA National Paralympic Boccia Team. I love being able to represent my country again in all the international tournaments I go to. USA Boccia is not Federally funded and they don’t have the money to pay for their athletes to compete in Boccia Tournaments. I have to pay for the registration fees and for the flights for my caregiver and myself for every International Tournament I compete in. I would appreciate it if you could donate some money to me or USA Boccia, which is a 501c nonprofit organization. I hope to be able to represent USA in the Paralympics someday, but I can’t do it without your help.
Welcome to the fundraising page for our USA Boccia Nationals Team. Each year USA Boccia competes in International Competitions throughout the world. The cost of one tournament per athlete can range from $2,000 to $4,000. USA Boccia does not have the financial resources to support our athletes so the entire funding to attend a competition is the sole responsibility of the athletes.
Athletes fees cover the cost of housing, tournament registration, coaches fees, and their personal care attendants needed to assist them during the event. This fee does not cover the cost of their airfare to get to and from the tournament.
We hope that you will share your enthusiasm and love of competition and help support our athletes as they and commitment to this wonderful sport with others. All contributions are tax deductible as a 501(C)3 contribution with the Internal Revenue Code at their fair market value.
