Thanks for stopping by! My name is Dallas Walker, I am a 28 year old female athlete who fell in love with the sport of lifesaving. The only sport out there with a humanitarian background to it! There are two sides to this sport; Beach/surf and pool. Being from a small town in Southern Alberta, we don't exactly have access to surf so my focus is mostly in the pool and sprints on the beach.
I have been on 5 tours with Team Canada in 5 years, with numourous National gold medals in the pool and in June I was named as the 2017 Female Athlete of the Year!
Come November I will be attending the World Lifesaving Championships in Adelaide, Australia with the Canadian National team. This event is known as the biggest event for our sport and happens every 2 years. I am currently raising funds to pay for the cost of the trip ($4500) plus the costs for extra training, physiotherapy, Massage Therapy and a Nutritionist that I have reached out to, to allow me to improve and be the best that I can be for these championships.
If you're wondering how I got here let me explain! 5 years ago I attended my first nationals with lifesaving sport. I had a background in competitive swimming but only learned the events about 6 weeks prior. That weekend I was picked to be on the national development team to attend commonwealth championships in Australia and well... I've been hooked since!
Since all costs for these tours are paid for by sponsorships and donations I am looking for any help of any value to help me on my way to Australia. I thank all of my previous and current supporters for allowing me to succeed in this wonderful sport!
