Welcome to My Rally Campaign!
Hello, I'm Jo and I live in Boston, MA, with my two dogs, Sammy and Dean (yes, they're named after the Winchester brothers!).
One day, I suffered an injury that tore my left hip and glutes. It left me unable to walk independently.
Right now, I am doing physical therapy and am starting to regain muscle strength. Unfortunately, it has taken a long time to get to this point, and my dogs have been patiently waiting for me to get stronger. My injury has affected them because I have been unable to take them out for walks, often relying on outside help to provide them what little exercise they can get.
Why I'm Raising Funds:
I'm raising funds for a cycling bike which will enable me to exercise more frequently and allow me to walk my dogs more often on my own. After consulting with my physical therapist, the quote I received for a bike would be worth $4170 or more (including tax), depending on the adjustments needed for the bike to be the best fit for me. The bike will also need additional customization of pedals, which based on researching online, will cost $251 each, totaling to $540 (including tax). And since I live in Boston, we are all about snow up here! For the winter months, the bike will need to be fitted with three snow tires (three tires x $70 = $210). Altogether, that's $4920!
Here's a breakdown of the costs associated in purchasing the parts for the bike:
Pedals: $ 540
Tires: $ 210
Would Appreciate All the Help and Support!
