Hello!
My name is Sarah Allen and soccer is my passion!
I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old. I first played with the Blossman Family YMCA and then transitioned to the recreational Coast Soccer Club. With the skills I learned, I then became a member of their competitive travel team, Galaxy. On this team is where I learned that playing as goalkeeper is what I love most.
Soccer hasn't come easy to me as it has many of my teammates. Last year, I tried out for the middle school team and I didn't make it. I was heartbroken, but it pushed me to work even harder. Instead of quitting, I joined a second league, practiced five days a week, plus weekend tournaments, and I am proud to say that my hard work paid off. This year, I made the team as goalkeeper and additionally earned a spot on my current club team, Gulf Coast United as the primary keeper.
My goal is to earn a scholarship and play as keeper in college. With the continued support of my club, coaches, family, friends, and community, I know I can reach my goal.
This summer, my Gulf Coast United team is going to France to attend the Women's World Cup and train with professionals. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, as this event only happens every 4 years. I will be able to train with the best as well as be exposed to a new culture.
The only way I will be able to go is through your contributions. Please help me get to France and with your support, my future goals and dreams will come true.
Sincerely,
Sarah
