My name is Ben Hulin, and I am originally from South Bend, IN. I now live in Park City, UT, where I train with the National Ability Center’s US Paralympics Sport Club with a focus on alpine skiing. In 2006 I was injured in a motorcycle accident and sustained a spinal cord injury. I lost all sensation and function from my sternum down. My injury did not hold me back and in no time I was jumping right back into the active lifestyle I lived prior to my injury. I spent about five weeks in rehab, and then that spring I competed in my first half marathon and have not looked back since.
This passion, dedication and zest for life drove me to become part of the National Ability Center’s Alpine Ski Team. This team and community has motivated me to explore the mountain, train daily with expert and world class coaches and start working towards my goal of competing in higher levels of skiing, including working my way to possibly becoming a US Paralympic athlete.
To help achieve my goals, I am looking for individuals or companies who want to participate in my dream by supporting my efforts through sponsorship. Sponsorship dollars go to support team costs, race fees, equipment upkeep, and travel costs. I will proudly display your business decal on my equipment, or in other pre-negotiated ways, wherever I train and compete.Your generous support will help me continue to grow and achieve my goals as a competitive athlete.
