Hi, my name is Rosie Mascoli and I am a resident triathlete at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. I am a recent college graduate who was given the opportunity to live, eat, and breathe triathlons through the College Recruitment Program. It is a program which seeks for potential in collegiate athletes who have hit certain time standards in their respective sport. I was 1 of 6 invited to train for a year at the Olympic Training Center with the goals of learning about how to live the professional athlete lifestyle and to work towards the Olympic dream. I just completed my first triathlon and qualified for Hy-Vee US Championships in Des Moines, IA. Traveling expenses are expensive and so my goal for this rally is to help with the costs that come with traveling.
I started swimming competitively at the age of 6. I was always running around playing soccer for 12 years until I realized that I was pretty good at this running thing and began running competitively in high school. In college I swam the first 2 years and ran all 4, becoming a 3x All-American. I knew I always wanted to continue on to pursue athletics as a profession and always had the dream of becoming an Olympian. I was drawn to triathlon due to my swimming background and I just recently completed my first triathlon and loved every minute of it. I hope to procure my pro card within the year. While room and board fees are covered, traveling is not and that can become quite an expensive ordeal, so any help from you is greatly appreciated!
