Welcome to my Rally Campaign
Hi, my name is Nazere Blake. I'm 11 yrs old & I attend Nandua Middle School as a rising 6th grade student. I recently attended the National Junior BETA Convention in Oklahoma City, OK. Our school placed 6th & 9th in our competitions. It was such a great experience! But, I'm here to talk FOOTBALL, lol. I've played youth tackle football for about 4 years now. I also enjoy playing basketball , being outdoors & playing other sports. Last season I played with the 10u Eastern Shore Spartans out of Princess Anne, MD. I played both sides of the ball, but my favorite position to play is Defensive End.
How I Got Here
I've been invited to a few camps, All-Star & Bowl games this year. I was honored to have been selected for these great opportunities. Recently, I attended the D1 Savage VA Regional Series game in Va Beach, VA, in May (Memorial weekend). I won MVP for my team & earned an automatic invite to compete in Myrtle Beach this Dec & Vegas Jan. '20 for D1 Savage Football games. I had my heart set on going to Vegas, until I received an email from Bret Cooper (himself), saying I was selected to attend his Junior Academic All American Bowl this Dec. 26th -Jan. 1st 2020. This is an invite only event that requires academics & character. I have been 1 of 60 selected with over 30,000 players viewed in the selection process. We also get to attend the Cotton Bowl which is played at AT&T Stadium (home of the Dallas Cowboys). I'm so excited about this opportunity!
Why I'm Raising Funds
The funds I hope to raise will be used to help get me to Dallas, TX. Yes, TEXAS!!! Before even planning this trip my mom, who is my sole provider, has to register me & pay $500+. Then there's hotel stay for 6 nights, airfare travel fees to TX from VA & back. It's too far to drive for my mom so we will be flying for the 1st time ever. We probably won't need a rental car when we arrive, because they have a bus that will take players to practices, our game & the Cotton Bowl. Parents have a bus as well for the game & the Cotton Bowl that they have to pay a small fee for but it's awesome to have such service. But, all together it will cost my mom around $1,500, not including the registration fee she has paid so I can attend this event. I have equipment needed, all I need help with is raising enough funds for travel. I hope I can achieve my goal & make this memorable! THIS IS ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS! I've never spent Christmas break/New Years Eve away from home.
I would like to thank my mom for her support & dedication & staying on me about getting good grades in school. I don't know where I'd be without her. My older brother, Tyreim, who I look up to & my family & friends that cheer me on. Also, a few Coaches to shout out ...Coach Raheem for giving me an opportunity to play with his organization last season. Coach TJ, Coach V & Coach Kurtis for believing in me & helping our team on a successful season & being great mentors. It's a few more I can name, but these gentlemen overlooked my size, speed & looked into my heart & saw my love for the game. Thank you!!!
Join My Team and Spread the Word!
I'm asking ALL of my friends, family, friends family lol to help spread the word. This will be a great opportunity for me & my area. I will be making history attending the College Football playoffs at the Cotton Bowl. One day my mom can come watch me play at that level. This only the beginning.
