Welcome to my Rally Campaign to get to Cary NC!
- Recently, baseball players like me from across the country participated in USA Baseball selection events and tryouts on a regional level with the aim of being named to our All-Regional 15U baseball team. I am so excited to announce that I am one of 32 players who have been selected to represent Team Southwest at the USA Baseball Champions Cup in Cary NC. My regional team, comprising of players from 7 states will then compete against the five other regions from across the country at the National Team Identification Series Champions Cup in Cary, North Carolina later this month. My next goal is to then be selected to the National Team Development Program (NTDP) with the ultimate goal of being selected to represent our country as a part of Team USA!
Why I'm Raising Funds
- This is a huge opportunity for me to compete against the best baseball players in the country in my age group. It also allows me to be evaluated on a national level and identify areas of strength and areas for improvement in my game. As you can imagine, this incredible opportunity does not come free. I am asking for your help to offset costs for transportation to and around Cary NC as well as the Champions Cup registration fees and hotel costs.
Join My Team and Spread the Word!
- It takes a village and no donation is too small. If you are not able to donate, I ask that you keep me in your thoughts to stay healthy and to have a great experience that will help me to be able to play baseball at the next level. Thank you in advance for your support!

Duane Colbus | Isaiah, I am honored to assist your baseball dream with a small contribution. Please let me take a moment to tell you why. As a young boy I lived in a very rural area of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. At night, when I was in bed and supposed to be sleeping, I would turn on the radio and have it just loud enough to listen to Milwaukee Brewers baseball announced by Mr. Baseball, Bob Uecker! I loved hearing about some of their greats at the time, Pitcher Rollie Fingers, Third Baseman Paul Molitor, and Short-stop Robin Yount! If you get the time, look these guys up. A few short years later I was playing Senior League baseball for a team called Rock River. We often had to drive an hour or more to play our opponents from other out of the way small towns. My position was first baseman for 3 straight years and I loved every minute of it! None of us had much money to spare and we made do with hand me down gloves and cleats, but we made it work! My dad cemented my baseball memories one weekend by getting us up early on a Saturday and driving us about 6 hours to Milwaukee Wisconson. Yup, he took us to the one and only Brewers baseball game I have ever been to! Still one of my best teen memories! Even now I sport a bit of baseball as my leather wallet is made from the leather of old baseball gloves. Holt leather company does this and it keeps the game close to me. Isaiah, I hope you enjoyed my story and would love to hear how yours goes. I wish you nothing but the best of luck! Duane Colbus |
