WHO I AM: My name is Jeremy Cota and I am a member of the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team. I am a 7-time World Cup podium finisher and a 2-time National Champion in the sport of Mogul Skiing. Please help me on my quest to greatness!
I grew up in the small town of Greenville, Maine and began skiing at the age of four. My mom taught me how to ski at a resort called Big Squaw mountain, a place not many people have heard of. I did not start my competitive career until my family and I moved to Sugarloaf, Maine where I attended CVA(Carrabassett Valley Academy). It was there where I turned my passion for skiing into a more focused approach. After high school, I moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado at which point I was finally nominated to the U.S Ski Team. During my four seasons on the U.S. Ski Team, I have had tremendous success; I finished the 2012 season as the number 3 ranked skier in the world. Unfortunately, last season after starting the season off with a world cup podium, I suffered a bruised heel and struggled through much of the remainder of the year. I am back to healthy, stronger than ever and back on track to make my dreams a reality.
WHY I NEED HELP:
Unfortunately, due to last season, I lost my USSA funding. Since our World Cup schedule requires so much travel, the expenses add up quickly. If I am able to reach my goal, the money will cover almost all of the expenses needed, allowing me to focus on getting back to being the best in the world!
HELP SPREAD THE WORD!
