My 11 year old daughter has found her passion. She started taking figure skating lessons when she was 8 and has been dedicated to it ever since. It is an expensive sport. My husband and I have done our best to pay for the classes, lessons, costumes and other related fees (in addition to the everyday support we already provide for her). I even took a part time job at her rink (in addition to the full time office job I already work) in order to support her dream. She just recently performed her first solo and was so poised and confident on the ice. We were beyond proud. She is now looking to start competing and we are looking at even more expenses. Between club memberships, competition fees, flexibility classes, competition worthy costumes and skates, we can't do it on our own. We want to be able to do this for her. Seeing her perform is such a heartwarming moment for me, and seeing her passionate about something she clearly loves so much makes me so happy. We want to be able to support her and help her become the best she can be.
She is a straight A student who works very hard at everything she puts her mind to. She is very deserving of this and any support of her goal would mean the world to her, and to us. She recently told me that she is happiest when she's on the ice. As a mother, I want nothing more than to give her that.
Any money received would go directly to her ice skating expenses: class enrollment, lesson fees, competition and show fees, new skates, etc. The requested funds should get us through the next year of skating, with my husband and I continuing to contribute as much as we are able.
Thank you so much to anyone taking the time to read this and considering support.
