Who We Are:
Team Phoenix Bobsled is a Utah-based American bobsled group that trains on the 2002 Winter Olympic track in Park City, Utah. Captained by veteran bobsled pilot and former head coach of the United States Adaptive Bobsled Team Jeremy Holm, Team Phoenix began training together in December of 2013. Also on the roster are brakemen and pushers David Meservy, Jon Tate, Lane Mixon and Don Osmond.
Our team has the goal of competiting for the United States in upcoming bobsled seasons, but we need your help!
Why We Slide:
Bobsled is one of the most exciting and beautiful sports in the world. The thrill of racing down an icy track at speeds faster than your average freeway while piloting a fiberglass and metal missle is hard to describe. The comraderie our team possesses and the dreams and goals we share make this fundraiser a crucial aspect of our athletic future. We love what we do and can't wait to make you proud as we push ourselves on and off the ice.
Why We Need $2,000:
Due to a financial emergency, a promised source of funding has regretfully had to withdraw their support. That leaves us $2,000 short of our 2013-2014 season budget, the bill of which comes due on February 28. While past fundraisers have helped us purchase our new bobsled, team uniforms, etc., this Rally is to cover this unexpected deficit in our team budget. We need your help!
How Will We Use Your Donation:
- Finalize payment on our new two-man bobsled
- Cover training fees & coaching costs
- Cover competition fees
Other Ways To Help
Even if you cannot donate, you can help in other ways! The biggest way to support Team Phoenix outside of financial donations is to help spread the word about our fundraising efforts via Facebook, Twitter, blogging and email. If everyone reading this gave us a shout out we could meet our goal in no time!
