Welcome to My Rally Campaign

• My name is Maci Harris and I play fastpitch softball for the Birmingham Giants 16U Exposure Team
• I hope to raise half the money needed to play ball this summer (I'm working at home to earn the rest from my parents).

How I Got Here

• As you may know, I have been playing softball since I was 6.  I love it so much, that a few years ago, I decided that I wanted to play at a higher level of competition.  In December of 2013, my mom took me to try out for the Birmingham Giants 12U team.  I made the team and I was so excited to play competitive softball for the first time that following spring and summer.  We didn’t travel much in those early days with the Giants, but now that our organization has grown and as we are looking toward college, we will be traveling out of state for most of our games and tournaments.  This will provide more exposure to college recruiters.  I hope to earn a scholarship and the opportunity to play at the next level.  A lot has changed over the past 3 1/2 years, but my love of the game has only grown stronger.
• When I decided to only play travel ball, I knew I would have to work on my own to get better while others played school ball.  I took hitting lessons from my coach and went to a camp in January.  I also picked up in a few tournaments in Georgia this spring. I got a lot better in a few areas, but the best was hitting for average.  I batted .478 and had over .600 OBP!

My Team

• I feel so blessed to have so much support from friends and family.  A few people that I am especially grateful for are my parents, Coach Heather, Coach Sean, Coach Marissa, Coach Leigh, my teammates, and the Giants Organization.
