The upcoming curling season is approaching quickly! Team Quello is already underway with preparation for the big year ahead of us. Big changes have been made from last year. We have an entire new team with four great girls! We are all from around the United States, and are very eager for what the season has to hold for us. Meet the team:
Originating from Bemidji, Emily is a Sophomore attending University of North Dakota working towards a degree in Speech-Pathology. She has been curling since the age of 5, and has been a regular at the local club ever since. Emily has attended 2 junior nationals and one U18 competition representing the United States. Originating from the curling capitol of the nation, she takes every opportunity possible to improve her game. In her spare time outside of curling, Emily loves to be outdoors, attend social events, travel, and spend time with friends and family.
Beth is a junior at North Dakota State University, majoring in chemistry education. Curling to Beth is a family affair, thus the curling club has always been her second home. She has competed in 2 junior nationals and 1 mixed national championships, officiated at 2 national events and spent countless hours coaching the youth program. In her spare time, Beth coaches volleyball, volunteers with NDSU’s Lion’s Club, and works to share her love of learning to others.
Susan is a 10th grader from the Philadelphia suburbs. She plays a variety of sports including field hockey and crew, but over anything else, she has a love for curling. She started curling when she was 5 and has competed in 2 junior national championships and won the bronze medal in 2016. She continues to push herself to be the best she can in everything she does.
Rebecca is from western Massachusetts and going into her senior year of high school. Aside from curling, she takes part in different clubs and groups at her high school, as well as takes a variety of dance classes at a local dance studio. Going into her 8th season of curling, she has been to a U18 national championship, 3 U21 national championships, and is always striving to improve her skills and learn new things about the sport she loves.
With new beginnings this year, Team Quello would like to graciously ask if you would be willing to participate in our accomplishments by sponsoring them this year! We have girls from all over, and travel expenses are not cheap! Any amount helps and will be greatly appreciated. The average amount given by each sponsor last year was around $200, but as stated earlier, any amount will help. Your contribution will help the team with such things as: traveling expenses, registration costs, team equipment, and team uniforms.
Thank you and Good Curling!
Emily, Beth, Susan & Rebecca
